We’ve been lucky enough over the last few months to work with Rowan, as part of their Empowering Women Network, which comprises of over 200 senior female leaders. The Network, founded by Rowan Director, Louise Stephenson, enables like- minded women to come together, sharing knowledge and experiences, and to collectively become better versions of themselves.

We recently spoke to Laura Ball, the Marketing Manager for Rowan, to find out more about the company itself.

Can you tell us about Rowan as a business?

Rowan is the Leadership Growth partner for founders aspiring for more. We work with private capital and Private Equity (PE) backed businesses to fuel their growth across the UK. We do this by using our market leading consultancy solutions, data-driven insights and people expertise.

Why did the newly formed Empowering Women Network choose to partner with Prevent Breast Cancer?

The Network wanted to partner with a charity that would resonate with our diverse female members. Whilst breast cancer doesn’t only affect women, we felt that as the most common cancer in the UK, the charity was one that our female members and our employees could feel a close link to.

Why did Prevent Breast Cancer stand out to you, over other charities?

Prevent Breast Cancer stood out as the only charity looking to prevent breast cancer for future generations. Rowan works closely with high achieving, resilient and determined entrepreneurs. This felt aligned with the innovative, solution focussed approach of the charity. We like to think differently in our line of work and believe that as a charity you do, too.

How do you aim to support the charity in its goal to prevent breast cancer for future generations?

The Empowering Women Network will raise funds for the charity through an ongoing series of events. Additionally, the company will look to take part in a challenge to give our fundraising total a boost!

Louise Stephenson, the founder of The Empowering Women Network, has now come on board as an Ambassador, to continue championing our work. She recently interviewed our Chief Executive, Nikki, for the first episode of her ‘Empowering Women in Business’ podcast. You can listen to the episode on Spotify, Amazon Music and Buzzsprout.

Coming next , as part of our latest stories, we hear from Louise and why she chose to support Prevent Breast Cancer.

If you would like to know more about Rowan you can visit their website.

Could you and your company help fundraise for a breast cancer free future? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
