Why Donate to Prevent Breast Cancer?

Your support helps us continue our vital work in preventing breast cancer.

  • We predict by identifying who is at risk of breast cancer.
  • We prevent – by offering preventative interventions, to stop breast cancer before it starts.
  • We protect – our goal is to shield future generations from breast cancer.

We Use Science to Save Lives from Breast Cancer

Without the generosity of your donations, we wouldn’t be able to continue our ground-breaking breast cancer research to prevent breast cancer for the next generation.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can add Gift Aid to your donation. Please note that we treat Gift Aid as an unrestricted donation directed to our general fund rather than any specific project or research pillar.

Different Ways to Donate

Whether you’d like to be a regular donor or are searching for other ways to donate to our breast cancer charity, other donation options include:

Frequently Asked Questions

Our online donations are facilitated by the Blackbaud platform, which allows the donor to contribute an extra 10% at the checkout.

By giving this option, we do not pay any fees on your donation, which means more of your donation will come to Prevent Breast Cancer. However, this is entirely optional, and we do not pay the fees if you choose not to, but by supporting this initiative we hope Blackbaud will continue offering their services without transaction fees being charged to the charity.

If you do not wish to, please untick the box at the checkout.

If you would like to change or cancel your regular donation, please email info@preventbreastcancer.org.uk a month in advance of your next payment. If we are unable to cancel or change your regular donation before your next scheduled payment, we can process a refund upon request.

We receive no government funding. This means donations from our kind supporters are vital in supporting our core mission of predicting, preventing, and protecting future generations from breast cancer.

Whether you’d like your donation to support our research projects, help us raise breast cancer awareness, or support the core costs of the charity, you can be sure that your generosity is making a real difference.

Roisin's Story

Roisin's Story

I knew something wasn’t right and went to see my GP the next day. Two weeks later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 32 years old, fitter, and healthier than ever, this was quite a shock.

Ian's Story

Ian's Story

When my brother was diagnosed, I went to my GP for help and advice, but he didn’t know men could get breast cancer. I still get frustrated at the lack of information available.

Leonie's Story

Leonie's Story

I have one surviving sister, a daughter and two nieces, so I wanted to contribute to a charity that could make a difference in the fight against this terrible disease. A breast cancer free future means a life for my family free of the worry of ‘who’s next?
