They first popped up on our radar when they organised a charity football match in 2022, in aid of Prevent Breast Cancer and the partnership has picked up momentum ever since.
We recently caught up with Ellie Craig from MT Finance, to find out more about the company itself and why they came on board as a Prevent Breast Cancer Corporate Partner.
Could you tell us a little about MT Finance from a business perspective?
MT Finance was set up in 2008 by Joshua Elash and Tomer Aboody when the pair discovered the lack of funding options available from high-street banks following the financial crisis. The need for reliable, flexible, and fast access to funds was critical. Determined to ensure that borrowers across the UK continued to get the funding support they needed, MT Finance was created to fill the gap by establishing itself as a bridging finance lender.
Since then, MT Finance has evolved into a multi-award-winning specialist finance lender and has helped thousands of borrowers turn their aspirations into achievement through its range of buy-to-let mortgage and bridging loan products. “Breast cancer touches the lives of too many people. Too many of us have either been directly impacted by this terrible cancer or we have friends whose loved ones have been. My own family has lost loved ones to this awful disease. Whilst treatment is so important, we were drawn to the approach taken by Prevent Breast Cancer (PBC) towards preventing it to begin with. Prevention is always preferable to treatment. We were incredibly happy to support PBC and would urge as many other people as possible to follow suit.”

Why did Prevent Breast Cancer stand out to you, over other charities?
While it was hard to pick just one breast cancer charity as so many do such vital and incredible work, Prevent Breast Cancer stood out to us as the only UK-based charity dedicated to the protection and prevention of this awful disease. Their work is making a tangible difference to the fight against breast cancer.
How do you aim to support the charity in its goal to prevent breast cancer for future generations?
For two consecutive years (2022 and 2023), we have supported Prevent Breast Cancer through our charity football match, Victory at Villa Park. Not only did we donate £200 for every goal scored but we also encouraged our attendees to also donate. We raised over £4,000 in 2022 and £5,150 in 2023.
We’ve also published a number of blogs on our website, to raise awareness about the great work carried out by the charity.
What does a breast cancer free future mean to you?
A future without breast cancer would take away so much pain, fear and grief. The work that Prevent Breast Cancer does is vital in helping us achieve this.
