This year has seen the launch of an exciting partnership with Kroll, which involved a visit to The Shard to deliver one of our breast cancer awareness talks. It was great to meet the team in person and to be part of discussions regarding their support for Prevent Breast Cancer for the year ahead. They’ve already raised over £15,000 this year and have an ambitious target set for 2023.

We recently caught up with Rebecca Fuller, Global Head of Fixed Asset Advisory Services, to find out more about the company itself and why they have come on board as a Prevent Breast Cancer Corporate Partner.

Can you tell us about Kroll as a business?

Kroll is the leading independent provider of risk and financial advisory solutions. We use data and technology to help our clients stay ahead of complex demands. Our Network of Women (NOW) was established in the UK in 2015. Today, NOW is part of our Inclusion and Diversity council, which enables us to be as modern in our culture and mentality as we are in our delivery of client services. NOW supports and encourages women throughout the Kroll community and sets the stage for progressive growth, development and success. We are committed to fostering open and inclusive discussions surrounding women’s issues (in and outside of the workplace) to effect positive change by providing access to resources and a platform for our colleagues and clients to communicate and collaborate.

Why has Kroll chosen to partner with Prevent Breast Cancer?

We have partnered with Prevent Breast Cancer because we all know too many people who are affected by breast cancer. The NOW group exists as part of our Inclusion and Diversity council because there are issues related mainly to women that will always need attention and support, breast cancer is one of those issues.

Why did Prevent Breast Cancer stand out to you, over other charities?

Kroll’s ethos is to mitigate risk and use smart tools to protect our clients from harmful threats occurring. Both organisations are culturally aligned, and we respect the ambition of Prevent Breast Cancer and want to help them to achieve their results.

How do you aim to support the charity in its goal to prevent breast cancer for future generations?

Kroll’s NOW will support Prevent Breast Cancer by funding a number of events throughout the year. We have raised over £15k by events thus far and have an ambitious target set for 2023. In the future we will host our first Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) wide digital quiz and take part in numerous other sporting events all in aid of Prevent Breast Cancer. We have received much information and assistance from Prevent Breast Cancer to educate and support our colleagues internally so that we can raise the awareness of signs and symptoms of the cancer.

What does a breast cancer free future mean to you?

Depleted energy reserves due to angst, upset and loss should be experienced by no one. Expending energy on loving or achieving great things is what everyone deserves the chance to do and certainly an ambition that Kroll’s NOW supports for the future!

“I know a lot of people who have been affected by or are currently battling breast cancer, both directly and indirectly. My partner’s grandfather died of the disease and my neighbour lost her battle with breast cancer within only 6 months. Currently, my own auntie is fighting to live, along with many other partners of people who I care dearly about”. – Global Chair, Network of Women, Kroll.
