Conference Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) explain the terms and conditions applicable to bookings made by you with Prevent Breast Cancer (PBC) to attend a research conference.
“Event” means the conference that you are booking for at the time of acceptance of these terms and conditions.
This agreement will come into force when have submitted your booking form for a PBC research conference.
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between PBC, and you relating to the conference and supersedes all other prior representations, agreements, or arrangements whether written or oral, express, or implied relating to the conference.
General Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse admission if payment of the fee has not been received prior to the conference. It is the responsibility of the attendee to ensure that the information provided during the booking process is correct. We reserve the right to make changes to the conference start date, duration, and content, if necessary. In the unlikely event that PBC has to cancel the conference, PBC will refund the fee in full, but will disclaim any further liability.
Payment
Payment for the conference is due at the time of booking through Eventbrite, unless otherwise agreed with PBC. PBC reserves the right to cancel a place if payment has not been received and any payments outstanding 8 weeks after issue of an invoice will result in cancellation of the attendee’s place.
Cancellations and Substitutions
Cancellations may be made in writing up to seven days before the event. A refund will be issued through Eventbrite to the payment method used.
The delegate shall be responsible for obtaining any visas required to attend the conference. Failure to obtain a visa will be treated as a cancellation.
There is no charge for a delegate to substitute someone else to attend the conference. Substitute delegates will be accepted at any time.
Non-attendance does not classify as a cancellation and payment will still be due.
The Conference
We will use reasonable endeavours to describe event content in the event descriptions on our website and Eventbrite accurately, but these are intended only to give an approximate idea of the Event.
We reserve the right to amend the programme of the conference or to cancel the conference and any booking.
Catering
Catering is being provided by the host venue. We will do our utmost to accommodate all special dietary requirements. If not already requested, please provide this information via Eventbrite before the conference.
Privacy Policy
Personal details are collected during the registration process on the website; our Privacy Policy explains how we store and protect your data.
PBC arranges for photographs and video to be taken at our conferences. You acknowledge that any photography or film footage taken as part of your attendance of the conference can be used for promotional and marketing purposes for this specific conference and any future PBC events. If you wish to opt out of this, please email info@preventbreastcancer.org.uk
You acknowledge that you will be contacted in line with your communication preferences submitted with your registration or as previously recorded via the website , in relation to the specific event you have registered for. This will enable PBC to deliver the necessary administration and communication required to support you to successfully attend the conference.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is made and shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts sitting in England.
