Prevent Breast Cancer Family History Clinic Study Day 2026

pbc conference

Following directly after the UKICBS Conference (19-20th January, ICC Birmingham), this focused one-day programme was an opportunity for clinicians to network, share best practice and consider how the latest advances might impact upon their areas of expertise.

Aimed at clinicians working in Family History Clinics, the Prevent Breast Cancer’s Family History Clinic Study day offered a unique opportunity to:

• Deepen your knowledge with the latest research and updates on genetic risk assessment and management.
• Share best practice with colleagues running family history services across the UK.
• Translate conference insights into practical approaches for patient care.

The Programme

The 2026 programme included;

  • A presentation on the current status of Family History Clinics by Breast Cancer Now.

  • Summary of the current NICE guidelines for management of people at moderate risk of developing breast cancer.

  • A demo and workshop on MyCanRisk

  • Breast Imaging Surveillance protocols for those at increased risk of breast cancer.

  • Chemoprevention in those at moderate risk – what are the options, what to recommend when, uptake, prescribing.

  • HRT in those at moderate risk without a personal history of breast cancer.
