The Focus Of Our Charitable Activity
Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity dedicated solely to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer. We have three core areas of charitable activity:
We continue to fund world-class scientific research focused on understanding how to predict, prevent, and ultimately stop breast cancer before it starts. Alongside this, our awareness and education programmes have expanded nationwide, helping more people recognise the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, understand causes and risk factors, and access breast screening at the right time.
Tackling Health Inequalities
A growing focus of our work is tackling health inequalities, ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to information, screening, and preventative care.
Through targeted campaigns and deepening partnerships with community organisations, we are working to break down barriers, build trust, and empower everyone to take charge of their breast health.
