Hospitality Helps is an initiative launched by The Tim Bacon Foundation in partnership with Prevent Breast Cancer. Restaurateurs, bars, and other hospitality venues have come together to support Prevent Breast Cancer in 2024 and 2025 in any way they can – ranging from a discretionary £1 donation on the bill to proceeds from the sales of unique menu items.
San Carlo created ‘cocktail rosa’ of which £2 of every sale in October was donated to Prevent Breast Cancer and The Tim Bacon Foundation. Funds raised went to Prevent Breast Cancer’s National Breast Imaging Academy campaign, aiming to get more mammograms for women and, crucially, save more lives.
San Carlo kicked off 2025 by hosting Prevent Breast Cancer’s supporters for a pasta-making course and sharing-style platter. We’re so grateful to Molly, Olivia, Nicola, and the rest of the team at San Carlo for helping us start 2025 in style with a truly exceptional pasta-making event in support of Prevent Breast Cancer.
As a proud participant in the Hospitality Helps initiative, San Carlo has demonstrated outstanding generosity and commitment to our cause. Their dedication was evident not only through their signature ‘Cocktail Rosa,’ but also through this immersive and engaging culinary experience. The evening was a resounding success, providing our corporate and sports fundraisers with the opportunity to refine their pasta-making skills, engage in meaningful discussions, and indulge in an exquisite selection of antipasti—all within the welcoming ambiance of San Carlo’s private dining room. Sian from Zally, who attended the event, said:

Such initiatives underscore the vital role the hospitality sector plays in championing charitable causes. Whether through financial contributions, exclusive menu offerings, or hosting interactive events, every effort brings us closer to a future free from breast cancer. The event was beautifully timed with the Academy breaking ground as we’re at the final push to raise the £3.9 million needed for the build. The Academy will offer dedicated training across England for the next generation of breast imaging staff. Their training will help patients across the country and prevent delays in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment by getting more mammograms for patients. It also will provide essential space for both the participation and delivery of crucial research, so we can get ahead of breast cancer, meaning no one will have to go through it in the first place.
