Future Generations – Nurseries, Schools, Colleges and Universities

Here at Prevent Breast Cancer we love working within our local community, especially with our future generations, and there are thousands of ways you can help us raise vital funds and spread the word about Prevent Breast Cancer and the fabulous research we’re carrying out.

NURSERIES AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS

go pink 1

At Prevent Breast Cancer, we believe fundraising should be fun and what better way than turning your nursery or school bright pink!

Ideas include – pink fun day, pink march, pink raffle, pink cake sale and pink summer fair.

GO PINK is a great way to bring parents and children together.

We’d be more than happy to visit your nursery or school to talk about fundraising and the work we do. We can also help you plan your fundraising event, as well as provide you with certificates as a way of thanks, and we can also attend special assemblies to show our appreciation for all your hard-work.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

GO PINK FINAL 1A

As above, we’d also like to encourage secondary schools and colleges to get on board and GO PINK for Prevent Breast Cancer too.

Fundraising for our charity, is a great way for students to work either on their own or in teams for both personal development and a sense of pride. Students will be given the chance to develop their skills in various ways, but especially in team work, event planning, plus also time management and organisation.

We’d also love to invite you to our Student Conferences held at our home -The Nightingale Centre. Students will get the chance to gain new skills and improve employabilty, learn about potential future careers and see first-hand the important work we do.

Alternatively, we can visit you to talk to students regarding health awareness, breast awareness and highlight the importance of bra fitting.

NB We have started using the online platform vInspired , which helps young people find volunteering opportunities for causes and charities that interest them, near them. The age range is 16-25, and so something secondary and college students may be interested in. More on this below under Universities.
