BEER TASTING & MASTERCLASS
We were absolutely delighted to introduce a new event to the Prevent Breast Cancer fundraising calendar in February 2017, and it involved BEER!
Together with Stubborn Mule Brewery
in Altrincham, this event was one not to be missed, and we packed out the brewery with 50 of our supporters. We definitely could have sold more tickets, but unfortunately, the brewery couldn’t hold anymore due to health and safety, so we’ll definitely have to repeat the event soon!
For only £15.00
, our supporters got to both sample and learn about the 5 individual Stubborn Mule beers
, and also hear all about the brewing process courtesy of head brewer, Ed. He also offered the very interesting opportunity for a Q&A session. Ed also talked us through how he ended up with his own brewery, which originally started in his back garden!
On the day, there was also amazing street food available, as well as a raffle with some fabulous prizes. The street food was provided by Barry from Altrincham Tapas and The Belgian Beer Bar. After learning more about the charity on the day, he very gracefully donated all the food proceeds to Prevent Breast Cancer, for which we can’t thank him enough!!!
Ed initially thought the tasting and masterclass should take about 1 hour to 1 and a half hours, but our supporters were so enthralled, and enjoying the beer, that it was nearly 4 o’clock when we got to the last beer tasting! Ed then kept the bar open for those who wanted to really make a day out of it!
Thanks again to everyone who came on the day, and special thanks again to Ed for hosting and welcoming us so warmly into his brewery. We’ll definitely be back!
