Prevent Breast Cancer would like to introduce our newest Corporate Partner of 2021 – Develop Her Game. The coaching organisation for all female football players was started in 2019 by Co-Founders and Directors Courtney Vacher (29) and Lauren Wilson (19). We caught up with Courtney to find out why they are so passionate about supporting Prevent Breast Cancer.

Develop Her Game

Our vision is to inspire girls to want to play football by creating a fun, engaging, inclusive and safe environment; whilst developing their physical and mental wellbeing. We want to empower them to become exceptional young women. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the male and female game, which exists due to negative stereotypes and limited roles available for girls and women within the footballing industry. As a business we would like to give every girl, who would like the opportunity, the chance to play with freedom and creativity, solving ongoing problems and making informed decisions, without the fear of failure. We do this by giving them access to a Development Hub and providing specialised 1 to 1 Coaching Sessions.

Develop Her Game chose to partner with Prevent Breast Cancer as we believe their mantra and name positively correlate with our vision, mission and action. Their branding and culture struck home for us at Develop Her Game. I believe this partnership is the best possible opportunity for us to ensure that our purpose of focusing on the holistic wellbeing of all of our girls and their families is fulfilled.

We focus on inspiring girls through football to empower them to become exceptional young women. Over 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and for us to be able to support the prevention of this disease is an honour and one that we are incredibly passionate about.

We’ve done a lot of research around charities in order to make sure that we made the best decision for our organisation and the charity. Having the right balance is important with this type of partnership and being personally impacted by this disease has also given us more clarity and pushed us to make changes now. I think this partnership will work perfectly and will allow us to support the incredible work that Prevent Breast Cancer do.

Develop Her Game

Develop Her Game have already hit the ground running when it comes to raising vital funds for the charity. Courtney is partaking in a sponsored dry January fitness regime, in which she aims to walk 250km. If you’d like to find out more or sponsor Courtney’s challenge, visit her giving page by clicking here.

Additionally, Develop Her Game will be donating 10% of their profits in 2021 and adding the PBC logo to their football kit. We are extremely excited to welcome in the New Year with a Corporate Partner that echoes our values and vision.
