Eva Hughes
Eva is Prevent Breast Cancer's Trusts, Research and Impact Manager, responsible for securing funding that supports the charity's prevention research, community outreach, and wider charitable activities.
Drawing on her background in academic research, Eva manages the charity's trusts portfolio and research projects, developing compelling funding proposals and partnerships that generate income for breast cancer prevention research and community-based outreach initiatives.
She plays a key role in identifying new funding opportunities, developing cases for support, and demonstrating the impact of the charity's work through reports, blogs, and other communications.
Alongside fundraising, Eva is actively involved in shaping Prevent Breast Cancer's Health Inclusion programme, helping to strengthen links between researchers and diverse communities to promote equitable access to prevention, early diagnosis, and breast health information. She also supports the organisation of major events, including the Prevent Breast Cancer Research Conference 2026.
Her efforts ensure we continue our ground-breaking research and remain at the front line in fighting breast cancer at The Nightingale Centre.
